    Common Data Representation (CDR) 
        defines the representation form of binary data, the byte ordering, alignment

    The Internet Interoperability Protocol (IIOP)
        defines the standard-protocol for inter-orb communication. 
        if different from the orb intern protocol, there has to a translation mechanism
        in contrast to other encoding procedures there is no type information included
        
    Type Codes
        Type Codes are provided by the metadata repository, the interface repository
        Type Codes are globaly unique Identifiers, for each IDL- Type there is a corresponding one
        Type Codes provide selfdescribing data
        For this reason, dynamic invocation needs a preliminary access to this information
